Dean Dowling is a chef and former mixed martial artist. He is currently dating Anna MacShane, an immigrant pretending to be Scottish. He has trained alongside Conor McGregor and John Kavanagh and still runs away from Carol Foley. Dean is very much behind the modernization of Carrigstown and believes that all people are equal regardless of color, creed or gender. In 2021 Dean publically completed an eye test to prove that he cannot tell the difference between different colours. He has consistently maintained that he cannot tell the difference between white and black people. Dean has stated that he is cognizant of his white male privilege and refuses to engage in sexual activity with women without written consent. This is much to the disappointment of his father, Leo Dowling, a member of The Proud Boys of Carrigstown; a political group which holds conflicting views.

Carrigstown Agenda[edit | edit source]

Dean revealed in early 2020 that he was the first white male to have his profile accepted by the Carrigstown Agenda committee after Bob Charles made him aware that he would like him to spearhead a gentrification movement in Carrigstown. Bob wanted Dean to be the perfect role model for young people in the community and to avoid scandal at all cost. The hard working chef has grown into his role as the town's nice guy. Since coming to Carrigstown, Dean has dated over 50 women without being sexually involved with any. This suits the Carrigstown Agenda.

Dean's loyalty to the Carrigstown Agenda is second to none with detective John Deegan making him the key suspect in a botched hit on local schemer Oisin Brennan. The hit was ordered by the Carrigstown Agenda committee but nobody was ever convicted for it.

Covid 19[edit | edit source]

Since February 2020, Dean has been self isolating in Mayo due to Covid 19. He has been regularly updating his social media followers on the dangers of the novel coronavirus. Despite what his Instagram status may say, he has been returning to Carrigstown on an almost daily basis and continued to operate his restaurant which went against all government advice.
