Laura Halpin is the sister of Damien Halpin. She is a lesbian, and despite being more masculine than her brother, is still looked down upon by the wider Carrigstown community. This irony was highlighted by Oisin Brennan in one of his podcasts for Carrigstown: Exposed in which he stated That Halpin family is so messed up, they both wish they had the other one's gender; it's really sad stuff. She has been likened to professional female boxer Katie Taylor, due to her boring attitude and heavy usage of steroids.

The Carrigstown Agenda believing her to hold a valuable LGBTQ status, have launched multiple efforts to have her become more popular in the community. These have been thus far futile as she continues to have just one friend in fellow moody lesbian Sash Bishop who is debatably only a lesbian to avail of the Coming Out Grant given by the Carrigstown Agenda.

Boxing[edit | edit source]

Growing up, Laura was a training partner with professional boxer Katie Taylor. At age 15, Laura began to take steroids which resulted in excessive mood swings. She is partly responsible for getting Sean Cassidy involved in the sport of boxing.
